Our Brewing Process
At St Helena Brewery, our brewing process is a combination of time-honoured techniques and innovative practices. We start with carefully selected ingredients, including hops from Kent, England and the finest pilsner malt from Germany, to create a foundation for exquisite flavour. Each step, from mashing and fermentation to conditioning and bottling, is crafted with precision and care. Our commitment to quality ensures that every batch reflects the unique character of St Helena, so join us as we take you through the journey of transforming raw ingredients into the beers you love.

Sourcing Ingredients: We start with the finest ingredients, sourced from renowned supplies, to ensure the highest quality and freshest flavours. Our hops, barley and malt are carefully selected to reflect the unique character of our beers, with our water coming from the ancient volcanic sources here on St Helena.

Brewing: Our brewing process is a blend of art and science. We use traditional methods to curate a variety of beer styles that cater to diverse tastes. Each batch is brewed with precision and passion, ensuring consistency and excellence.

Fermentation: After brewing, our beers undergo a meticulous fermentation process. This critical stage allows the flavours to develop and mature, resulting in a beer that is complex and well-balanced. We monitor each batch closely to achieve the perfect fermentation time and temperature.

Packaging: Once the beer has reached its peak flavour, it is carefully kegged to preserve its freshness and quality. Whether bottled or kegged, our packaging process ensures that each beer is ready to be enjoyed at its best.
